Well, here it is the last Friday before the big holiday.
Are you ready?
We're skipping Christmas this year. We still are not quite settled. Lots of little repairs to do around the house (hanging light fixtures, curtain rods, fixing broken switches and outlets). Really you say? Didn't you buy a new house? Yup. Don't think we'll ever, ever buy another foreclosure/flip. We did get a good deal initially, but things are adding up. Yikes.
Enough whining.
Tell me what you are doing this year. Be sure if you are a no-reply blogger (lump of coal for you) that I have a way to get a hold of you. Auntie has some presents for her followers. What's on your quilty wish list?
Talk to you on Monday! Lots of (quilty) news!
Good luck with all those "little" jobs around the house. They surely do add up! We moved during the holidays two years in a row. It was so worth it because we now live beside of our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. We're thankful to be together and all of us have vowed never to move again. ☺ Merry Christmas!

Hi Maree, Merry Christmas! Please email me your address Auntie Pami at hotmail.com I did try your email., but it bounced back.
DeleteThis year we will be doing the usual church midnight service. Then to Mom's the next day for family time and fun. After that is a chance to relax and reflect on the year that was and the year to come. Peace be with you.
ReplyDeleteHi Gene! Merry Christmas to you. Please email me your address. Auntie Pami at hotmail.com
DeleteMy parents are coming for Christmas and I am looking forward to sitting and doing nothing. A girl can dream, right?

DeleteWe'll be doing family festivities on Christmas - breakfast at my daughter's MIL's house, then gifts at ours, then dinner at my daughter's husband's grandmother's house. Fortunately, we've known them ever since our daughter was little, so it's all one big happy family! Then we're off to the beach for ten days to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary on January 1st!
ReplyDeleteWe do Christmas Eve at my parents house and Christmas morning at my MIL's. Then we will be going to our best friend's house for Christmas dinner. Lots of fun.
ReplyDeleteGood luck getting your house together. Just don't get frustrated. Easier said than done. :)

DeleteWe've got most of the little jobs done around our place; now saving up for the bigger ones like replacing the shower and repainting the roof. The one downside with owning your own place is you have to find the money yourself.
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime I'm knitting socks for my husband, fitting a 1776 polonaised gown for me and tidying the sewing room which is in a right state. My quilting seems to be on hold for a bit, but then I find I go through stages with all my textile crafts and it'll come back.

DeleteMerry Christmas Sarah! Hope you have a wonderful break. Big hugs.
ReplyDeleteHope your holiday was wonderful. Ours was chaotic but in a good way, lots of little happy people so glad the day had arrived. But they go home with their folks so now it's quiet...ahhhh. Thinking of starting a simple new project with charm packs but not sure what!
ReplyDeleteYikes! I'm so far behind in blog reading, I'm late to the party. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that you'll soon be all settled. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHappy New year!
